Becoming a Mom
Becoming a mom is a surprising thing but is a beautiful relationship between a mother and child. The condition is called pregnancy. It’s a time of preparation, excitement, and anticipation, etc. The nine months of pregnancy you will have time to calm your fears and prepare yourself for parenthood. Beyond the chronological change, a woman undergoes a most typical experience equivalent to a new journey. It is an experience that transforms you from an ordinary person to extraordinary. In this there are physical changes, status shift, spiritual unfolding, moves you to the next high level of consciousness, etc. This experience expands the self-knowledge and abilities of you to do everything.
Your body changes during this condition:
The muscles of your pelvic region become loose. Bone of pelvis stretches slightly. Your structure of brain goes through long lasting changes. Rush of hormones changes your mind and body. From outside you will have acne flares like never before, your hair will bounce and varicose veins will interlard on your legs. You have hair loss during it. The bladder muscle may get weak causing you long term urinary problems. You always experience problem of constipation. Your labia, moles and areola may become darker.
Your body makes excessive blood for the baby so you feel lightheaded, stress, hunger, weakness, etc. Spider like veins gets developed on your face, arms and neck. Your skin becomes more shiny and glowing. The waistline of your belly begins to expand as your baby grows. Also you will gain weight just a little more than normal weight. You sometimes forget the things, unable to focus properly and feel always moody. Fatigue is responsible to increases these feelings.
What you should eat during this condition:
You have to take best care of your diet and try to eat healthy things and if you eat unhealthy food that will badly affect you as well as your child. The healthy foods you eat during your pregnancy are listed below:
Dairy products: Eat 3 or 4 servings in a day on daily basis. This will give your baby and you calcium which is very good for health. In this you should eat yogurt that will provide both of you a better digestive health.
Vegetables: Consume green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, kale, etc which give iron, calcium, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, etc.Also it reduces the risk of low birth weight.
Fruits: Add apricot, mangoes, oranges, pomegranate, pears, guava, avocado, banana, apple, and berry. They will give you and your baby calcium, vitamins, iron, potassium, folate, fiber, protein, carotenoids, antioxidants, carbohydrate, etc.
Meat, Fish and Eggs: Beef and chicken are best source of protein. Also they contain iron which is very essential for you because it is a part of hemoglobin that delivers oxygen to every cell of the body. Eat salmon it is rich in omega-3 fatty acids also eat light tuna. Eggs are best source of choline which is good for development of brain.
What you should not eat?
Do not eat unpasteurized products. Avoid cheese and caffeine drinks like coffee or alcohol. Do not try to eat swordfish, tilefish, king mackerel, and shark.
